I spent a few 1 hour sessions with Kim in a small corporate group class, and it made a world of difference in my golf game. I spent the last 10 years thinking I could correct my own swing, but never had the consistency needed to change the final number on the scorecard. After working with Kim, she was able to make me see things that I would have never thought about otherwise. And the thing about that, the changes were simple, and small. At the same time, I had a perception of the golf swing that was way offline, and I would have continued on that path of inconsistency without Kim’s incredible insight and knowledge. Kim was able to make the class an incredible learning experience, while taking the time to make sure that we could apply what we were being taught, and helping us to understand where the improvements can be made. Even though we were in a group class, I felt like I was getting personal attention, and most importantly, it was fun! My long game and my inconsistency were my biggest issues. With Kim’s guidance, I have been able to improve this part of my game by leaps and bounds. She gave me things to work on when I go to the range, and a better way to mentally prepare myself for each shot on the course. If you need to fix your game, there is no need to waste your time by watching the golf channel’s “Golf Fix” episodes. Go to Silicon Valley Golf Performance Center, and you will find everything you need there. Thanks to Kim Stevens for fixing my swing. Being more specific, she does not fix the swing, she fixes the perception of playing golf, she “fixes the head”. I just had 3 lessons with her but results were phenomenal. Kim knows exactly what she talks about and adjusted my approach to the game. I could not believe that just three one-hour group lessons so remarkably improved my “short game” and completely change my technique. My chips, pitch, and putts are totally transformed. Last round of 18 holes – 36 putts. I never have done this before. This what I would say about my experience with Kim She knows exactly what she is talking about. Kim explains the subject clearly and in the way that allows you not just to understand, but most important, describes how you need to think of the specific aspect of the game. I really like her lessons: you learn something new, and you receive your “homework” for the range practice. I have quite a few lessons, but other instructors never done that with me. This is the time and money savings. I have found my Golf Fix program. Thank you Kim for making more fun playing golf. Now I am looking forward to work on my irons.

As a new golfer, I was surprised at how quickly Shelley was able to help me put together the various aspects of the golf swing. She enabled me to understand and visualize her basic instructions by relating to my “engineering mind”. Shelley is the most patient, supportive and enthusiastic instructor! She is extremely adaptable to your style of learning—no matter how many people are in the group---she is able to easily transition from one style to the next. I give Shelley my highest recommendation!

What I enjoy and appreciate about Shelley’s teaching methods are the ways in which she incorporates the mental as well as the physical aspects into the golf lessons. She understands the importance of being able to take your swing from the driving range to the course and incorporates practical guidance in how to accomplish this.

Shelley is very punctual and provides clear communication. I like the way she encourages my input into what we want to accomplish in the lesson and couples that with her expertise to get the job done. The lessons are meaningful and enjoyable with many analogies to life and golf. I always feel like we have a plan and I know how to get there.

I started my experience with Kim in an intermediate golfer group package. Each lesson covered a lot of ground, and the series was structured in a way that made complete sense. She also assessed each person individually. The specific improvements she emphasized with me exactly matched my goals and my game. Over the five lessons, the results were fantastic. My full swing is much more solid and repeatable. I’m getting an extra 10-20 yards on every swing, depending on the club. My short game and putting also improved significantly. Kim’s high energy and enthusiasm make each lesson not just extremely worthwhile, but also fun. I highly recommend her.

I also wanted to add that I had my first private lesson with Bernadette a few weeks ago. I am an adult beginner, newly retired.
